Quick Catchup.
I spent the last two days in the city because I went with my sister to get her enrolled for UCO in the fall! I'm really excited for her to be down there next year. It was pretty boring actually, but I did get to go shopping a bit. And you can't ever complain about adding new pieces to your closet!
A few things I'm loving this week:
mangos and pineapples: yum yum. I just can't get enough and they're two fruits I've [until recently] disliked.
t-shirt shag rugs: I've been trying to find a way to make one since july. I finally found the perfect tutorial from xoelle.
trashy romance novels: It's true. I'm hooked. Thanks to my bff Kelsey. Right now I'm reading from the Black Dagger Brotherhood. You know, vampires and stuff.
beatboxing flute to mario theme: Um please watch this video. I'm sure even if you're not a gamer, you will recognize the iconic theme song. It's pretty amazing.
And tomorrow we're leaving for our trip to ... San Francisco!!! Yes! I am soooo uber excited! So today I'm packing packing packing and cleaning and all that important to-do stuff. It's only for a few days, but I've never been to SF before. Any suggestions of what we should do or see there are welcome. (photo here)

Map Hearts.
another etsy find that made me oh so happy! I was delving into I Am a Greedy Girl and found these adorable map hearts back during Valentines Day. They are super precious and it doesn't take V-day to make me want some. Hearts made by Bombus.
Spring Dresses.
Two of my favorite spring dresses from Ruche. So cute and girlie. I've really been trying to make my wardrobe more girlie lately- more pinks and ruffles. These would be two great additions to my closet!

Hallelujah it summer! Seeing as all schools are out now, I think it's official. So to keep my relatively boring looking summer a bit fun and interesting, I've created a goals list that I hope to keep to. And I have quite a few on there, so I know it's bound to be a challenge. And I'm sure to continue adding to the list. So, Here's to the Best Summer Ever! (photo here)
Congrats Kim!
Photo Inspiration.
This photo is from a wedding shoot by Kate Harrison. It's quite an inspiring photo for print or design. Found on Green Wedding Shoes. I also think the thought of an outdoorsy wedding would be so great!

Get It Krista!
Congratulations to Krista! America's Next Top Model winner cycle 14! woo woo! I've been sooo swamped with finals, packing, moving, and unpacking that I didn't get to watch the finale until last night. Although I was rooting for Raina, I think Krista definitely earned it. Be sure and stop by cwtv.com and check out the finale. get it girl.

Freedom.
Finals are complete. My car is packed. And tomorrow at 9 am I am checking outta here. Bring on tan lines and flip flops. I'm ready for summer! Even though I not exactly thrilled at all to be going home for the break, I am happy to be rid of school for near 4 months! whew. Last semester already seems so long ago. So I'm off to bed, I have a long drive in the morning. (photo here)

Ugh.
Ugh. I am hating my life right now (and honestly being a little dramatic). but I'm stuck in the lab waiting on the printer to print my coffee table book- along with a majority of the class. I'm waiting on the big, slow printer b/c the quick little laser printer is out of black ink- and what kind of a design department is out of black ink????? seriously. and I've been in here since 3pm working very hard. And I've been waiting on the printer for over an hour now. All while my best friends and boyfriend eat at my favorite restaurant and are currently playing board games (my favorite) as we speak. so no cute posts for today, as you can tell, I am NOT in the mood. Although my book is KICK ASS.

Dorm Room Inspiration.
So today I've been packing up my room. It's really sad. And I've never realized how much stuff I have here... ugh. Lol. But I want to show off how amazing Leslie & my room was. So have at it, to all you girls living in the dorms:
The giant map on the wall is a shower curtain from Urban Outfitters. And the kite strings have interesting business cards hanging from them.
These are some awesome bandana curtains I made! I just randomly got inspiration and learned how to use a sewing machine, and walah! And of course the giant collage panels from magazine pages.
This is my bed. We took the boards out from under the beds to make more shelving. My necklaces are hanging on a cork board! My roomies idea for records on the wall.
Leslie made these from twigs she picked up and put in bottles and her jewelry is hanging from them. Cute.
We have lots of filled glass pop bottles from an installation project I did last year. Plus recycled magazine box, sugar and parmesan shakers filled with ribbons.
Maybe you'll find inspiration from our dorm room. Love love.

Bobble.
One of my newest, most favorite, most eco-friendly discoveries: The Filtered Water Bottle. I've had my eye on this Bobble water bottle for some time now. There are many colors to choose from. My poison of choice is yellow. It's such a smart, well designed piece. I really need to jump on it and get myself one. Check out the cause and site here.
Oklahoma Weather.
Tornado sirens went off about 1 1/2 hours ago, so I was down in the boy's dorm basement. The library doesn't have a shelter- dumb. I think the storm's past the city now. Weather in Oklahoma is pretty intense. This photo was actually taken outside of my hometown in 2007.
Color Perfection.
Just saw this on Design Sponge and am already obsessed. This bedding is the most fantastic thing. I'm really into yellow and grey right now. Perfect combo.
And these plates on the wall are so colorful and happy, perfectly complementing the glassware on the table.
Both by Angela Hardison from seesaw. More photos of her work here.

Bummer.
Today was a bummer day. First off, Leslie's tea party was canceled. No big deal really, just a little disappointed. But then the big one. Basically it looks as though my trip for Indonesia this summer is not going to happen. My uncle lives there and has brought me, my sister, cousins, and grandma there for the past 2 summers and we were planning to get to go this year to Hong Kong, too. but now it doesn't look like that's going to happen b/c of conflicts of time and more important things. I'm really bummed b/c this was one of 2 things I was looking forward to this summer. This was my big trip. to get away from home. Which I am NOT looking forward to being at. But more on that later. It's study time now. Til Tomorrow!
