Team Edward.
Who's excited for Twilight Eclipse midnight showing tonight?! Just watched New Moon tonight with the girls so I'm all prepped for Eclipse. I will say, even though we spent most of the time laughing at Kristen's man-voice and the awkward moments, I'm still in love with the story, and the movies can only get better, right? TEAM EDWARD!

Sickly Firsts.
So yesterday provided a couple of firsts for me. FIRST, I actually got pretty sick and my mom had to take me to the ER. I've never been in the hospital since I was a baby (never the ER). SECOND, I had my blood drawn. yes from my arm. with a syringe. It was intense, and I was scared. But it was just fine. So, yeah, basically my body was hurting so bad that it hurt to even hold my head up, but I've been on antibiotics and I rested all yesterday & today. I feel SO much better now and tonight went to College Group, so surely tomorrow I will feel well enough to work. Here's to a lovely, healthy week to all!

Needing Some R&R.
I'm getting sick... and it's making me sad. Nonetheless, I'm heading over to my BFF Kelsey's for a girls night. I'm sure she'll make me a nice cup of English Tea (my favorite!). Maybe after a nice chill night watching movies I'll be on my A-Game tomorrow! To all a happy weekend! (photo here)

Red + Floral.
Alright, so I've been obsessing over this room for a few days now! Who knew that red + floral could be so darn attractive?! Found this on Design Sponge and just kept going back to look. Isn't the loveliest thing? Design by Catherine Hammerton.

New Adventures.
Last night, Cameron & I bought a Wii! He's been holding out for them to come out in black, and now that they've arrived we splurged. I even got my own pink controller! How great is that? We've already started the New Super Mario Bros & Super Mario Galaxy 2. Galaxy is craziness- really amazing! And since I am a designer, I will tell you I LOVE the packaging for the black. So sleek & pretty. I'm sure this little goody will take up lots and lots of my summer hours.

Weddings on the Brain.
So, don't tell Cameron, but I've been thinking about engagements and weddings non-stop this week. 2 of my best girl friends have already gotten engaged this summer, and my roommate's sister is getting married next week (congrats Maria, Lisa, and Laura!). So exciting, but hence the search for the perfect engagement ring has begun. haha. I've always wanted simple, and solitaires do the trick nicely, but after seeing these cuties, I'm thinking maybe something a little nontraditional would be lovely, such as a campaign or brown diamond. The second ring is just so simple and darling. and the third stone may be just a little too outrageous for an engagement ring, but isn't it just too gorgeous?! sorry I lost the sources (that's what happens when I'm saving every photo I love) bottom 2 found on Etsy though!

San Fran: Part 1.
A bit from my trip. These are a few of my favorite photos. I really truly fell in LOVE with the city. I wish I could move out there and buy a boat and sail around the bay. I did learn, however, that wearing SHORTS was a big mistake! perhaps it's warmer by now. My favorite day was walking across the city (seriously ALL the WAY across) seeing different things like the Asian Art Museum, Castro Street, Mission Delores, and hiking up to Coit Tower. Anywho, more to come, and pictures from Azkaban, excuse me, I mean Alcatraz to come.

The Little Details.
Wow oh wow! I love these cute tags made from playing cards! Used for a wedding (but I'm thinking gift tags would be super!) spotted on Green Wedding Shoes. Photo by For You Love Me.
TOMS Wedges.
So I was really unsure when I heard that TOMS were coming out with wedges. I mean I really love my 2 pairs of the classic style (I have gray and red tie die), but I thought it would be something cheesy like the sneaker wedge that was popular when I was in 8th grade. Surprise! I'm truly impressed with these. A lot cuter than I was expecting. A wear-anywhere heel. What do you think about the new TOMS style?
Get a Narwhal.
Hey! Guess what! you can help clean up the BP oil spill! And you won't even have to drive down to the gulf. Buy one of these adorable narwhal prints from The Fabled Needle! Not only are they super cute but 100% of proceeds on this print will be donated to the National Audubon Society to help clean up the spill. To buy the print go here. To see Fabled Needle's original blog post go here. This is a beautiful cause- thanks.

Pretty Swimsuit.
so I found this swimsuit that I love so so much! I spotted it on frolic, from APC, but of course it was completely out of stock online. how sad! And it's kind of a big deal b/c I've been looking for a cute new one for quite a while. And like most girls I'm super self-conscious of my body, so bikinis tend to be a no-no. But this one was just too cute and such a good price. sigh... Suppose I'll keep searching.

Movie Update.
I've gotten a little behind on updating my movies. So here four I've seen these past 2 weeks.
New York, I Love You
Disappointment. I had been looking forward to this movie for months! I mean look at the cast list! Natalie Portman, Shia LaBeouf, Bradley Cooper, Drea DeMateo, Christina Ricci, Chris Cooper, and the list goes on and on. Anyway, someone tried to be way too artsy with this film. In the end there was no point. I expected all the random scenes to come together in some way, but no. It just ended. It was odd.
Where the Wild Things Are
Frankly, another disappointment. It just kind of ended as well. There wasn't even duologue at the end. And the kid screamed a whole bunch. But then again I'm sure it's hard to make a 10 page children's book into a 2 hour long movie... But a mega win to the creative directors. This movie was GORGEOUS! Beautiful scenes and landscapes. The "wild things" were well made and looked real and acted real. If only the story had more juice.
Splice
This movie was DISGUSTING. It seriously made my stomache sick. I thought it was going to be about aliens, and boy was I wrong. Two scientists create a creature (half human) hoping to discover cures to diseases. To make a long, gross story short- bestiality was taken to a whole new level. It wasn't a horror movie, it wasn't scary at all. Everything was just major shock value.
Invictus
This is the only movie on my list worth seeing. This was PHENOMENAL! Freeman and Damon definitely deserved their Oscar noms. And it amazed me how well they pulled off their accents. It was moving and fun to watch. The beginning was a little slow because it was mostly dialogue but by the end I was hanging off my seat to see how it would end (which is crazy b/c you already should know) Oh, and it didn't hurt that Matt never looked better either...

Pink & Lace.
So I'd pretty much given up on the color pink (especially any light version) for the fact that older women with infatuations with pink and grandma floral patterns completely overtaking rooms had killed it for me. But this pink window with lace curtains is beyond adorable. Maybe I'll let light pink back into my color pallet options. Spotted on The Decorista.
