Iron Man 2.

Last night, I watched Iron Man 2... and it was so GREAT! It was so much fun. I was a little disappointed that Rhoddey switched from Terrance Howard to Don Cheadle, but he played the part well. There was less of a revelation from Tony Stark as the last one, but the kick-ass fights, even more crazy stunts, and excellent graphics and filming made up for the lack of personalness. Once again Robert Downey, Jr. amazed me with his perfect portrayal of Stark. I'd argue that Iron Man is one of the best superhero movies to date and the second was a worthy follow-up. Personal rating A-

Recycled Material Mini Wallets.

I think I need a mini wallet to carry some cash and cards in when I'm on the run. Here are some cute etsy finds. I'm really loving the ones using recycled materials.
recycled boat sail! (Reiter8 is giving away a bag on Cup of Jo)

Mom Day Cards.

So last night I made the mothers in my life cards for mother's day! I think they turned out pretty nicely for being handmade. I know it's cliche, but since I'm not home I can't do anything for my momma, and since I'm a poor college student I can't send anything to my momma. so this will have to do. Besides, I was just in a creative mood.

J. Sample Design.

Ta Dah! My completed logo.
I worked very hard and through many sketches and ideas and arrived here. I've very pleased with it. The 3 dots actually are a Brail "J" and can be used alone or with my name. I plan on using different colors for my different identities. so, I'm very proud and am getting very excited the closer and closer I get to being a true, professional designer! I am currently working on an online porfolio, so maybe someone can see my work and take interest in me as an artist.

DIY Cork Containers.

The cutest thing. One of my favorite pieces in my rooms (dorm and bedroom at home) are my ginormous cork boards that I am continuously adding pieces to. Whether it's photos, to cute tags, to ads, to fortunes, to bows. They're just massive collages, and I'm always new ways to use cork. This is perfect. Tutorial here.

Want It. Need It.

some things i've recently discovered and want very badly.

Bensimon Shoe (the French girl's converse as Cup of Jo calls them), Wintercheck Paul Desk (I think I want the green one), and Andrew Martin Sofa (isn't this the most gorgeous piece of furniture ever?!).

Accomplished.

4:20 in the morning. I finally finished my logo book and the stress has lifted [for now]. Now I've had a chance to fill my stomach with cereal and catch up with my roommate and her day, one last post and I'm off to hit the sack. Not only did I finish my book, but I also chose a logo for myself (which I will be happy to share once I've had some rest and time to resave it). I'm really excited because not only is that a step towards becoming a professional designer, but it's a way to label myself and my work. On that note, I bid you adieu!
